Ursula Dabrowsky: "Inner Demon" Leads To "Family Of Demons"

When people mention “Horror” films or “Psychological-Thrillers” the first names that come to mind are most commonly Stephen King or Dean Koontz. If you are like myself and try to look for something different than what the majority is looking at you might discover another name that is VERY large outside the United States. This individual has two movies already and they are quite popular in Australia. Ursula Dabrowsky is a name that many in the horror industry know or have at least heard of, even here in the United States. Her first project, “Inner Demon” blew my mind. It wasn’t your common “American Horror” films which have been very redundant with styles as of late. Her movie was a “TRUE” psychological-thriller from start to finish.

I never saw the ending coming and loved every minute of it.  The way Ursula Dabrowsky captures the effect of an abused and neglected teenage girl and portrays the horror of her everyday life through the eyes of the abused was creatively definitive.  With a movie as good as “Inner Demon” one would understand why so many of her fans wanted more.

Her newest project was “Family of Demons.”  This movie was unrelated to the first installment, though it had some of the same actors portraying different characters.  It was a completely different tale of horror and it was released in Australia.  I recently heard word that it has been released in the United States and have been on the lookout for it without any luck.  Another online writer posted this article- http://www.planetetheria.com/ursula-dabrowskys-family-demons-gets-long-awaited-us-release/

Ursula Dabrowsky, I am still searching for your newest release.  If it is anywhere near as good as your first movie then I am missing out.  I won’t give up on finding a copy and plan on writing an extensive review of it when I finish watching it.  This writer wishes you the best and hopes to see more work released by your fiendishly-talented mind.

I chatted with Ursula and she informed me that I did not miss the release just yet and there is some confusion over the article I posted the link to in my text.  It is the release of her first film.  Her second film will not be released until June of 2012.  Thank you Ursula for clarifying and correcting my source.
